Our office email was graced today with a replay to an approved-for-release Ombudsman Mediation/Arbitration meeting from one of our budding and recovering American State Assemblies.
After a (just over) two-hour meeting replay, it was already quickly apparent to our office that this recovering State Assembly was filled with sincere, honest passion, as well as tempered focus and balance between extreme professionalism and solid decorum!
Please overlook the fact that our office has chosen not to announce which particular American State Assembly this article is describing, but know that they-themselves know who they are. And with that, we say “Well done – to these fine, fellow American peacemakers for their positive effort and impact!”
The aim of the meeting, through purpose and intent for a sturdy resolution was clearly made known right away! All participants in the meeting seeking Conflict Resolution maintained the utmost respect towards one another at all times – even though there were periodic, noticeably heated moments! Even through a well-structured mediation meeting, heated moments still arise from time to time – and should be expected and tolerated to a large degree (so long as the Arbiter is respected if they feel the need to calmly interject to seek clarity). The Ombuds Arbiter during this particular meeting, in my professional opinion could not have been more eloquent or proficient in their own intensely professional presentation Mediation skill throughout the entire meeting! It was also, clearly apparent that stellar portions of Industry Standard Ombudsman Service elements were utilized from the meeting outset – even to the very end.
Although The Peacekeeping Task Force (PKTF) does not facilitate Federation chartered Evaluation, Education, or Coordination training segments to any American State Assembly regarding internal peacekeeping services, PKTF would most assuredly consider advocating this particular Assembly and its approach if given the official opportunity.
State Assembly, Conflict Resolution (whether they be story-board scenarios or driven by live exercises (such as this meeting)) strategies are extremely essential to Assembly prosperity and safety! Between the appointed office of Ombudsman, with equal significance of importance to the State-elected Marshal-at-Arms Office is where empirical evidence and proof of how these two internal peacekeepers maintain enduring Assembly tranquility!
And, although PKTF is not part of the service rotation to provide such highly sought-after training, this particular recovering American State Assembly has provided proof positive examples utilizing the elevated small-group mediation process (in real-time), and how such resolution can be largely successful!
On behalf of PKTF outward observations of the meeting in question by this State Assembly, thank you for the honor to freely share your practical, yet thorough approach at Conflict Resolution by properly utilizing your State General Assembly, Ombudsman Service as part of your State Oversight Committee. For those States still in need, PKTF encourages all American State Assemblies to make it a significant part of their own internal safety resiliency project management goals to seek both internal Conflict and Safety service assets soon. Both roles for an appointed Ombudsman Mediation/Arbitration service provider, as well as the State-elected Marshal-at-Arms Official, remains proven to be an invaluable compound safety service!
